Musa Khawula has doubled down on his refusal to formally apologise to Julius Malema over defamatory tweets suggesting the Economic Freedom Fighter (EFF) leader was going through a divorce. Last week, the Gauteng High Court found that the notorious celebrity blogger had made defamatory, untrue and unlawful accusations. He has been ordered to pay legal costs.
MUSA KHAWULA REFUSES TO APOLOGISE TO JULIUS MALEMA In a tweet posted on Monday, 20 April, Musa Khawula took another jab at Julius Malema. Tagging the EFF leader, the celebrity blogger tweeted: “Baby, thought you should know that you aren’t getting no apology from me. Do not expect it, it’s never happening”.
He added: “Your close friends have confirmed that your lil marriage is over. You are getting a divorce, and I stand by that. Malema and Mantoa hugged and kissed in court, shutting down speculation of a divorce. SORRY, NOT SORRY Last week, Musa Khawula mocked a Gauteng High Court ruling calling for him to apologise to Julius Malema over his defamatory tweets. Instead of him adhering to the ruling, Musa cheekily posted a clip of singer Beyonce singing the lyrics: “I ain’t sorry” The controversial blogger was ordered to retract his tweets about the politician and his wife and refrain from tweeting further defamatory statements about the couple.
He was also ordered to publish a lengthy apology on his social media platforms. Musa, who has a long list of criminal allegations, was also ordered to pay legal costs in the lawsuit. He tweeted: “Julius Malema’s marriage is over as his wife Mantwa [Mantoa] Matlala files for divorce.… She could only tolerate so much of his cheatations and decided to end their stressful marriage.” A few days later, Malema threatened to pursue both civil damages of up to R1 million and criminal charges of crimen injuria against the celebrity blogger. Khawula brazenly responded: “Hi baby. Don’t [for]get to get your people to send me coint to shut my a** up. You can’t wanna hide your divorce forever”.
