He's just so gigantic, but he barely played in his two seasons with the Gators.Dynes is a bit of a different animal -- and it's worth noting he used to be listed at 7-3, so either he's growing or he's being exaggerated for effect. The big fella began his college career at Youngstown State, and he led the Horizon League in blocks in his two seasons with the Penguins -- 2.3 per game as a freshman, 3.1 per game as a sophomore. in that sophomore season, Dynes also averaged 6.8 points and 5.8 rebounds per game while making 69.9% of his shots from the floor. That earned him a transfer up the ladder to USC for the 2025-26 season, but with the Trojans, Dynes played just 11.9 minutes per game.
He averaged 2.9 points, 2.3 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per contest. He did make 78.8% of his shots from the field. It's clear that Dynes' game is ahead of where Rioux's is, but it also isn't simple to incorporate such a unique player type into every system. Some teams make more sense than others simply because of how they play defense and how they utilize big guys on offense.Dynes does seem more likely to end up at a high-major program than Rioux, but both names bear watching. You can't teach height, and this duo has that in a way that no one else in college basketball does.More college basketball news:Mikey Williams creates polarizing transfer prospectDuke's Cameron Boozer is taking his timeWhat's next for Isaiah Evans?Andrej Stojakovic makes his transfer portal decisionKentucky closing in on Syracuse transfer
