The NFL revealed this Pro Football Hall of Famer is set to announce Detroit's second-round NFL Draft pick.

As has been the NFL's ongoing tradition during its annual collegiate drafts, the league announced a list of legends and active players representing all 32 clubs currently scheduled to make selections in Rounds 2 and 3 of this year's NFL Draft in Pittsburgh. As for Detroit, the Lions have chosen 2023 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Calvin Johnson as the representative to announce their second-round pick.Since being selected with the No. 2 overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft out of Georgia Tech, Johnson has assembled an illustrious professional career that includes four All-Pro teams, six Pro Bowls, and induction into the All-Decade Team for the 2010's. Across his 137 (regular season and playoffs) games in nine seasons played for the Lions, he caught 748 passes for 11,915 yards and 85 touchdowns. As the Lions do not have a third-round selection entering this year's NFL Draft (as of April 17), Johnson will be making just one appearance on the stage to reveal the franchise's newest star player. The 2026 NFL Draft is scheduled to run from April 23-25, with Round 1 on Thursday, April 23, continuing on Friday, April 24, with Rounds 2-3, and concluding on Saturday, April 25, with Rounds 4-7.For more Lions coverage, follow us on X, @TheLionsWire, and give our Facebook page a like.
