Tucker now has a 1-1 record with a 1.00 ERA through two games, both of which he started.• Terre Haute South graduate Tim Herrin pitched an inning of relief for the Cleveland Guardians in a 9-3 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Monday.

He allowed a hit and a walk while striking out one. Herrin then received the loss Tuesday night as the Guardians fell 6-5 in 10 innings to the St. Louis Cardinals.

He also pitched in Wednesday's game at St. Louis, allowing a hit and a walk while getting an out. Herrin pitched four innings through Cleveland's first seven games and had three strikeouts.Meanwhile, there are a handful of Indiana State alumni enjoying success as well in their professional careers.• Colin Rea got the win for the Chicago Cubs in a 10-4 win over the Philadelphia Phillies on Tuesday.

He went six innings and allowed four hits and three runs while striking out five. Rea now has a 2-0 record with a 3.63 ERA through five games played, one of which he started. He also has a save and has pitched in 17.1 innings with 15 strikeouts.• Sean Manaea pitched three innings in relief and struck out four, for the New York Mets in a 1-0 loss to the Athletics on Sunday.

He now has a 2.25 ERA through four games played, all of which he's pitched in relief.• Clay Dungan had three hits and a run scored for the Triple-A El Paso Chihuahuas in a 10-8 win over the Albuquerque Isotopes on Friday. In a 6-4 loss for the Chihuahuas to the Round Rock Express on Tuesday, Dungan tallied three hits, two RBIs and a run scored. Then in a 14-1 victory over the Express on Wednesday, Dungan had a hit, RBI and a run scored.

In a 10-9 loss to Round Rock on Thursday, Dungan had a run scored.• Matt Jachec pitched two innings in relief for the Double-A Akron RubberDucks in an 11-3 victory over the Harrisburg Senators last Saturday. He allowed one hit and struck out two and now has a 5.14 ERA through five games, one of which he started. He then pitched two innings Tuesday in an 8-7 victory over the Binghamton Rumble Ponies as he allowed a hit, three runs, two walks and struck out one.

Jachec now has a 4.00 ERA through six games, one of which he started. He's pitched nine innings with 10 strikeouts this season.• Randal Diaz had a run scored in a 3-1 win for the High-A Wilmington Blue Rocks over the Hudson Valley Renegades on April 10. He had a hit and a run scored in an 8-6 win over Hudson Valley on Saturday before posting a hit and an RBI in a 5-2 win over the Renegades on Sunday.

Then on Thursday in an 11-7 loss to the Hub City Spartanburgers, Diaz collected two hits and drove in three runs.• Grant Magill had a hit and a run scored for the High-A Winston-Salem Dash last Saturday in an 11-2 loss to the Frederick Keys. Then in a 9-4 win over Frederick on Sunday, Magill had a hit, run scored and reached base once on a walk. Then in a 16-6 win for the Dash over the Asheville Tourists on Tuesday, he tallied a hit, two RBIs and two runs scored.

On Thursday in an 11-8 victory over the Tourists, Magill recorded a hit and a run scored.• Luis Hernandez had two walks and a run scored for the High-A Cedar Rapids Kernels in a 9-6 win over the Beloit Sky Carp on April 10. Then in a 2-1 win over the Quad Cities River Bandits in the first game of a doubleheader Thursday, Hernandez had a hit.
