Penn State is making a strong push for four-star safety Malaki Taufoou, who scheduled a June visit after an impressive spring.
While Penn State was busy securing the signing of their first safety in the Class of 2027, they were busy securing the visit of another. During their spring visits, they were able to make an impression on yet another potential secondary addition. After securing the signature of three star safety Jonathan Galette out of New Jersey, attention for the Nittany Lions' recruitment project will turn to four star safety Malaki Taufoou out of California. The four star prospect previously did not have Penn State on his radar, but was convinced enough by his spring visit to schedule a visit in early June.
For now, his home state program is still favored to sign him as per Rivals, but the Nittany Lions are now at the very least on the map.Taufoou is currently ranked as the 35th best safety in the Class of 2027 according to 247Sports, and could possibly add more secondary depth to an already 13th ranked class for the Blue and White. One of the most crucial stretches in his recruitment process will come in early to mid June, where he has scheduled visits to all of his top three schools. In his senior season, Taufoou flashed his potential, logging three pass breakups, 46 tackles, and six tackles for loss.He would only be the Nittany Lions' second safety signed to the class after Galette, as well as the fifth secondary member.
