Real Madrid facing ‘internal debate’ over struggling midfielder’s future – reportReal Madrid’s failure to win a major title in two seasons has put serious pressure on the dressing room, management and administration, so much so that there appears to be a clear need for massive changes. The list of players seen to be saleable, on that front, continues to generate significant debate. After all, several factors including their age, potential, adaptation to the system and existing depth in the department must all be considered. One player who has significantly polarised the fanbase in that sense is Eduardo Camavinga, as some believe he still has a lot to give while others have had enough of his frustrating performances. An internal divideAs revealed in a recent report by El Mundo, there is an internal debate within the Real Madrid administration over the situation and future of Camavinga. Some within the club continue to believe in him and push for him to stay, develop and blossom into the player he has been expected to grow into. Will Camavinga stay or leave? Those funds, after all, can be recycled into a position in more need of a signing.Real Madrid, thus, are stuck in a dilemma in deciding if they should continue investing in his development or if they should convince him that a change of scenery would benefit all parties involved. The 23-year-old Frenchman has attracted interest from clubs in the Premier League and even PSG in Ligue 1, and has no shortage of suitors in that sense. However, he is determined to succeed at Real Madrid and does not contemplate a departure in any capacity as it stands. The only factor that may lead to a departure, thus, is a new midfield signing and a guarantee that he will not see regular minutes next season. A decision, needless to say, will be take closer to June, possibly around the time of the FIFA World Cup.
