The Alabama guard has reportedly entered the NCAA transfer portal after spending his freshman season with the Crimson Tide.
According to On3's Joe Tipton, Alabama Crimson Tide freshman guard Davion Hannah reportedly plans to enter the NCAA transfer portal after one season in Tuscaloosa.Hannah becomes the fourth Alabama player to enter the transfer portal so far this offseason, joining Aiden Sherrell, Taylor Bol Bowen, and Jalil Bethea. Both of Sherrell and Bethea have already committed to Indiana and Pittsburgh, respectively.As a freshman, Hannah missed a majority of the 2025-26 season due to injury, appearing in only 10 games early in the year. During that sample size, Hannah averaged 3.3 points and 1.9 rebounds per game on 46.2% shooting from the field, as well as 36.4% from three.
Hannah also shot 62.5% at the free throw line. Prior to Alabama, Hannah ranked as the nation's No. 46 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, as well as the No. 10 shooting guard nationally, per the 247Sports Composite rankings. A four-star prospect, Hannah also ranked as the No. 3 player in Missouri where he attended Link Academy.
Alabama has added three players via the transfer portal so far this offseason, two of which come from the SEC in Kentucky's Brandon Garrison and Mississippi State's Jamarion Davis-Fleming. The Crimson Tide have also added NC State transfer Cole Cloer.
