Ryan Clifford got things started in the first, and all three of Ronny Mauricio, Vidal Brujan, and Onix Vega got in on the action in the third. That was more than enough run support for Carl Edwards Jr..RF Nick Morabito: 0-2, R, 2 BBLF Ji Hwan Bae: 1-3, R, BB, KDH Ronny Mauricio: 1-4, R, HR (3), RBI, K1B Ryan Clifford: 2-3, 2 R, HR (1), 3 RBI, BBSS Vidal Bruján: 1-3, R, HR (1), 2 RBI, KCF Cristian Pache: 1-4, K3B Jackson Cluff: 1-4, R2B Yonny Hernández: 1-2, RC Onix Vega: 1-3, R, HR (1), 2 RBIRHP Carl Edwards Jr.: 5.0 IP, 3 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 3 BB, 2 K, W (1-2)RHP Mike Baumann: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 2 KRHP Alex Carrillo: 1.0 IP, 0 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 2 KGAME 2: SYRACUSE 7, SCRANTON/WILKES-BARRE 4 / 7 (BOX)Clifford trying to make up for lost time – despite coming into the day with an OPS under .700, Clifford homered for the second time in two games, raising his OPS up to .767.
Those were his first two long balls on the year, and he also avoided striking out. That led a comprehensive offensive effort, pushing the Mets to a sweep of the doubleheader.CF Nick Morabito: 1-4, 2 R, SB (3)LF Ji Hwan Bae: 2-3, 2 R, 2B, K, SB (3)SS Ronny Mauricio: 1-3, R, 2B, 3 RBI, K, SB (5)DH Ryan Clifford: 2-3, R, 2B, HR (2), 2 RBI3B Vidal Bruján: 0-2, RBIRF Cristian Pache: 2-3, R, 2B, 3B, K2B Yonny Hernández: 1-31B Trace Willhoite: 0-2, RBIC Vincent Perozo: 1-3, 2B, 2 KRHP Bryce Conley: 4.0 IP, 2 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 1 BB, 1 KLHP Brandon Waddell: 3.0 IP, 4 H, 3 R, 3 ER, 0 BB, 2 K, W (2-0)Double-A: Binghamton Rumble Ponies (6-7AKRON 5, BINGHAMTON 4 (BOX)Despite outhitting the RubberDucks 7-6, the Rumble Ponies lost 5-4.

LUCIE 12, DAYTONA 8 (BOX)Maybe we need to pump the breaks a bit on the Cam Tilly breakout. Despite flashing fun stuff, his velocity hasn’t ticked up as much as you would have hoped and the results haven’t been there since the first start. Still stuff to like, but there’s work to be done here.
Anyway, St. Lucie stole seven bases and scored 12 runs, with Elian Peña leading the way at the top of the lineup. The 18-year-old has as many walks as strikeouts and a 142 wRC+ through his first two weeks in full-season ball, an impressive start to be sure.SS Elian Peña: 2-5, R, 2 RBI, BB, K, SB (6), E (2)3B Sam Robertson: 1-6, 2 K, 2 SB (10)LF Randy Guzman: 0-3, 2 R, 2 BB, K, 2 SB (3)DH AJ Salgado: 1-4, 2 R, 2B, BB, 2 KRF Simon Juan: 2-5, 2 RBI, 3 K1B Chase Meggers: 3-4, 2 R, 2B, RBI, BB, KCF Sam Biller: 1-5, R, SB (3)C Francisco Toledo: 2-4, 2 R, RBI, BB2B Vladi Gomez: 1-3, 2 R, 2B, RBI, BB, K, SB (1)RHP Cam Tilly: 3.0 IP, 4 H, 7 R, 4 ER, 2 BB, 4 KRHP Luke Jackson: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 KRHP Ryan Dollar: 1.0 IP, 0 H, 1 R, 1 ER, 2 BB, 2 KRHP Joe Scarborough: 2.0 IP, 2 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 1 BB, 3 KRHP Miguel Mejias: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 ER, 0 BB, 1 K, W (1-0)RHP Tyler McLoughli
