VJ Edgecombe overcame a hard fall on his backside in the first quarter that prompted to go to the locker room twice throughout the game.

But he returned both times to pace the 76ers alongside his backcourt mate, Tyrese Maxey. The tandem led an onslaught from 3 as Philadelphia shot 19 of 39 (49%) from long distance. Edgecombe led Philadelphia with 30 points while shooting 6 of 10 from 3.

Maxey added 29 while shooting 5 of 12 from long distance. The effort marked a stark contrast from Boston’s 123-91 blowout win in Game 1 in which the 76ers shot 4 of 23 (17%) from beyond the arc.Tuesday marked Boston’s turn to go cold from 3 as the Celtics shot 13 of 47 (28%) from beyond the arc. Jaylen Brown was Boston’s only reliable source of offense with 30 points, and Jayston Tatum was the only other Celtic to score in double figures (19).
