In terms of comfort, the HD 480 Pro comes with Sennheiser’s Special Axes Geometry, which automatically adapts the headphone’s contact pressure to different head shapes for a consistent fit. Along with that, the earpads also feature a dedicated soft zone for glasses wearers, ensuring a proper acoustic seal without discomfort.
Near the earcup, the connection cable features a coiled part, which effectively decouples the headphones from any structure-borne or handling noise, such as that transmitted when the cable hits the desk. There’s also support for a vibration attenuation system that eliminates unwanted resonances, reflections, and distortion to keep the signal clean and accurate. Additionally, a coiled section on the cable near the earcup decouples the headphones from cable-borne and handling noise.
For flexibility, the headphones feature a detachable cable that can be routed on either the left or right side. To ensure accessibility, the left and right earcups are Braille-marked.
