Set during 1911 in fictionalized versions of the American West and Mexico, Red Dead Redemptionis as memorable for its setting as it is for its story and characters. However, with its sequel (but technically prequel), Red Dead Redemption 2, choosing to skip a visit to Mexico, players were left feeling disappointed not to see a new-and-improved version of some of the iconic locations visited by John Marston years previously.
