The Colorado men's basketball program is seeing major roster turnover this offseason. Three of the Buffaloes' top four players are moving on to other schools, and on Monday morning, another former Buff announced his transfer portal destination.Guard Andrew Crawford, the highest-rated Colorado recruit in the 2024 class, will be playing next season at the University of Northern Colorado. The former four-star recruit was a prized piece of the Buffs' 2024 class ranking as the No. 85 overall player in the ESPN Top 100.Crawford played sparingly over two seasons in Boulder, redshirting his freshman year before seeing action in just 10 games this past year.
In those 10 appearances, the 6-foot-8 guard averaged just 1.4 points in 4.8 minutes per game.𝐒𝐈𝐆𝐍𝐄𝐃 ✍️Welcome to Bear Country, Andrew!📰 https://t.co/j5GblDkT6e#BearCountrypic.twitter.com/VwPNtcRShD— UNC Bears MBB (@UNC_BearsMBB) April 20, 2026For Crawford and Colorado, the pairing never worked out. Crawford seems better suited for a low to mid-major program like the Bears, where he can turn into a star at that level.Tad Boyle and his staff, despite adding one transfer so far, still need five more players to fill out their 2026-27 roster. Expect at least one more big man after signing Noah Feddersen from North Dakota State, and a couple of wing and guard types.Follow Charlie Strella on X, Threads and Instagram.Contact/Follow us @BuffaloesWire on X (formerly Twitter) and like our page on Facebook for ongoing coverage of Colorado news, notes and opinions. This article originally appeared on Buffaloes Wire: Andrew Crawford Northern Colorado transfer Colorado basketball
