Architect Aziza Chaouni, interior designers Britt Moran and Benni Allan and designer Felicia Hung, have joined the judging panel for Dezeen Awards 2026. Dezeen Awards, in partnership with Trimble, is searching for the world's best architecture, interiors and design. Submit your projects by May 27 to avoid late entry fees.
Now in its ninth year, the programme has become the ultimate benchmark for architects and designers everywhere, with winners selected by a prestigious panel of international judges. Read on to find out more about who will be judging this year's entries: Architect Aziza Chaoun is one of this year's judges Joining this year's architecture panel is Moroccan architect Chaouni, director of SoNo Lab and founder of Aziza Chaouni Projects. Chaouni's practice and research focuses on sustainable design and adaptive reuse in the Global South.
She has collaborated extensively with organisations on heritage projects including the World Monuments Fund, working on projects such as the brutalist La Maison du Peuple in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Chaoun's work has also been published and exhibited internationally, including at the Venice Architecture Biennale and the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art. Dimore Studio's Britt Moran will judge this year's interior entries Milan-based designer Moran will join Jaime Hayon on this year's interiors judging panel.
Moran is co-founder of Dimore Studio. The practice is known for its style heavily informed by historical periods, using a blend of vintage and contemporary influences when creating their interiors. Recent projects include the interior of the luxury train La Dolce Vita Orient Express and a mediterranean-modernist renovation of a Saint-Tropez apartment.
Last year, the studio was recognised in Dezeen Awards' Designers of the Year, winning 2025 interior designer of the year. Benni Allan, founder and director of EBBA, will judge Dezeen Awards 2026 Joining Moran on the interiors panel is Allan, founder and director of London-based studio EBBA. The studio focuses on a hands-on approach, with recent works including a glowing canopy for Houghton Festival, a coffee shop tucked within London's busy Holborn tube station and a minimalist raw-basalt home extension.
Allan is also known for making objects and furniture, with notable collections including a series of sculptural, curved furniture pieces made from solid oak. Felicia Hung is co-founder of In Common With and Quarters Co-founder of New York City-based lighting brand In Common With, Hung will join the design panel for Dezeen Awards 2026. Alongside co-founder Nick Ozemba, the studio hones its focus on materiality, often working in ceramic to craft custom-pieces such as a series of handmade clay shades made in collaboration with Ohio artist Ariana Heinzman.
In 2024, Hung and Ozemba also opened Quarters, a concept store and community gathering space to host events and showcase installations and collections both by themselves and others.
