The team will be in Asia from August 1 to August 8 and play matches in two countries. The first match will be against Jeju SK at the Jeju World Cup Stadium in Jeju, South Korea on August 4.

Jeju is an island off the coast of mainland South Korea where three matches were held in the 2002 FIFA World Cup. Jeju SK plays in the top tier, K League 1.Bayern’s second match will be in Hong Kong against England side and Champions League hopefuls, Aston Villa on August 7. The match will take place at the home of the Hong Kong national team, Kai Tak Stadium, which was completed in 2024.

FC Bayern board member, Rouven Kasper, said this about this summer’s tour: “It speaks volumes that FC Bayern will be undertaking its tenth Audi Summer Tour overseas. In football, the number ‘10’ stands for creating momentum and setting the direction and pace. Internationalisation is essential for the whole of German football to continue to develop – and FC Bayern has been a pioneering force in this field for years.

We are at home in Munich and at the same time keep our fans and partners all over the world in mind. Around a billion people follow FC Bayern, a good half of whom are from Asia. We are very much looking forward to this trip.” This preseason tour will be the third time in the last four years with matches in Asia.

Both matches will be the second match that Bayern have played in each of the countries. Their first trip to Korea came two years ago in Seoul. We have to go back clear to 2007, in Bayern’s first trip to Asia, for their first match in Hong Kong. Bayern have also played matches in India, China, Singapore, and Japan over the last two decades.
