The list of new arrivals on the Broncos' coaching staff includes Robert Livingston and Ronald Curry.
Sean Payton made several changes to the Denver Broncos' coaching staff this offseason. The notable changes include Davis Webb replacing fired offensive coordinator Joe Lombardi, Ronald Curry replacing fired wide receivers coach Keary Colbert, and Robert Livingston essentially replacing defensive pass game coordinator Jim Leonhard, who left to become defensive coordinator of the Buffalo Bills.Payton was asked about the new arrivals while speaking at the NFL's annual league meeting in Arizona last month. “We have a handful of [new] guys, and that’s part of the deal," Payton said.
"Robert, obviously locally, coming right from Colorado. [We have] a lot of background with him, Vance [Joseph] certainly and a number of us on the staff, if we didn’t know him, we knew others that worked with him. "Then Ronald Curry, of course, who played at North Carolina, was a two-sport athlete. It’s pretty amazing.
He was good… He was great at basketball. He was one of these guys that… Slam dunk champion. I’ve had Ronald. He’s a fantastic coach.
He became available after, and right away, we had a chance to bring him in. You guys will love him. Then there are a handful of other coaches that are filling in spots, either guys have been promoted or guys have had opportunities elsewhere.
So that’s part of the deal.”Before serving as CU's defensive coordinator from 2024-2025, Livingston worked with the Cincinnati Bengals from 2012-2023, overlapping with Joseph from 2014-2015. Curry is a former NFL wide receiver who coached under Payton with the New Orleans Saints from 2016-2021. So while they are new additions to the staff, the Broncos are already very familiar with both coaches. After reaching the AFC Championship last season, Payton and Co. will resume their Super Bowl aspirations in 2026.Social: Follow Broncos Wire on Facebook and Twitter/X!
