“I’m going to be fighting in 12 weeks or something, but I’m just starting my diet now.”Pimblett went on to specify that it is indeed 11 July that he’s getting ready for. This means he’ll share the card with newly-signed heavyweight prospect Gable Steveson, who’s also making his debut that night. There are also strong rumours Conor McGregor could finally make his long-awaited return at the same event.Even without official opponents named yet, those three alone are enough to build plenty of buzz around UFC 329.Pimblett is expected to face another ranked lightweight upon returning. Names like Benoit Saint-Denis, Dan Hooker and Renato Moicano have all been mentioned as possibilities.Daniel Rodriguez has also claimed he’s agreed to fight Leon Edwards at this event, speaking up following an eight-month stay in a Mexican prison.
