Real Madrid’s historic first title came in 2019/20, under Raúl González.
From that squad, ten players have gone on to play in La Liga or another top tier league, including the likes of Miguel Gutíerrez and Antonio Blanco. This years roster contains a breadth of talent in its own right, and it will be exciting to see how far these players can make it. Perhaps it’s to mask the first team’s woes, or to able to brand themselves the kings of Europe at both senior and youth level in true club style (just one title to go now) – but one thing is for sure, Real Madrid are taking the UEFA Youth League very seriously indeed.
