Pricing remains unchanged for Polestar’s entry-level electric car, but the Polestar 2 line-up will now be Long Range only with the discontinuation of Standard Range models. Polestar has announced pricing for the 2027 Polestar 2 ahead of its launch, expected in the middle of the year. The Swedish brand has opted to remove the standard-range model from the Australian line-up, and now the range includes the Polestar 2 Long Range Single Motor priced from $66,400 before on-road costs, and the Polestar 2 Long Range Dual Motor at $71,400.
Polestar now includes pixel LED headlights and a Bowers and Wilkins premium stereo on the Long Range Dual Motor with Performance Pack – at no extra charge – worth $5100. The Polestar 2 is powered by a single electric motor in the entry grade, producing 220kW and 490Nm, with an 82kWh lithium-ion battery for a claimed range of 659km on the WLTP standard.
The Long Range Dual Motor variant has a combined output of 310kW/740Nm, sharing the same battery that is rated for up to 596km. Optioning the Long Range Dual Motor with Performance Pack – only available when the Plus Pack is also fitted – steps up to 350kW/740Nm combined, with a quoted range of up to 568km based on WLTP testing. It is fitted with a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, along with an 11.3-inch infotainment touchscreen with wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Upgrading to the Connected Services Plus subscription gives access to third-party apps from the Google Play Store.
