Quite naturally, Silva is set to become one of the most sought-after players in the upcoming summer transfer window, with Barcelona emerging as one of the potential suitors. Two favourites in Silva raceAccording to Tuttosport (h/t Diario SPORT), Juventus have emerged as one of two favourites in the race to sign Bernardo Silva this summer. But the Italian giants are not alone in this chase, with Barcelona seen as their biggest threat as the Silva pursuit intensifies.Silva is not the new target for Barça, with the playmaker being linked with a move to Catalonia for years now.Bernardo Silva is set to leave Man City this summer. That being said, there are certain complications regarding both Barcelona and Juventus, as far as signing Silva is concerned.Juventus’ pursuit, for one, will hinge on the club securing a qualification for next season’s Champions League. With six matches still remaining, the Old Lady are facing strong competition from Como, AS Roma and Atalanta.Barcelona, meanwhile, are likely to have problems meeting Silva’s wage expectations. At €10 million, the Portuguese commands a hefty package and the club are in no mood to drastically inflate their wage bill next season.Silva, for his part, wants to remain in Europe as he believes he still has a couple of years left in him. But with both Barcelona and Juventus facing complications, it will be interesting to see if any third party emerges as a favourite.
