MREIT, Inc., the real estate investment trust arm of property giant Megaworld, has entered into a strategic partnership with global media and technology platform e27 for the launch of the country’s first Digital Park, set to rise within the company’s 50-hectare McKinley Hill township in Taguig City. Under the partnership, MREIT and e27 will collaborate to develop a pilot innovation hub within the upcoming Digital Park that will serve as a next-generation launchpad for startup firms, innovators, founders, investors, and ecosystem partners.

Future-ready startup hub Slated to open in 2026, the Digital Park will be the country’s largest dedicated startup hub, offering close to 2,000 square meters of flexible working space. Facilities and amenities will include meeting rooms, conference facilities, dedicated function rooms, and multi-sized work areas, providing startups and emerging businesses with a robust support system and a modern workplace ecosystem strengthened by e27’s expertise. The flagship startup space will also serve as an accessible community and ideas hub for McKinley Hill’s broader population, including office tenants, students from nearby schools, and local residents.

Startups across Asia looking for a location in the Philippines are also being eyed for the new facility. The initiative will begin with identifying and mapping key partners, followed by securing formal collaborations with investors, accelerators, corporates, and ecosystem enablers.

It will then move into continuous programming such as startup-investor sessions, founder networking activities, and flagship events to drive sustained engagement and community growth. “We are proud to welcome e27 as our strategic partner for technology and innovation in McKinley Hill. As a thriving hub for diverse local and multinational firms, our township is the perfect setting to ignite growth for local startup businesses.

Together, we are building vibrant, collaborative ecosystems to support the Philippines’ next generation of startups, empowering them to scale their ideas and shape the future of innovation,” said Jose Arnulfo Batac, President and CEO of MREIT, Inc. “MREIT’s infrastructure transforms our regional playbook from event-driven engagement to a permanent, embedded presence. By anchoring within township communities, we are creating continuous founder support—through weekly mentorship, investor access, and skills development—rather than quarterly engagements,” said Mohan Belani, CEO and co-founder of e27.
