We love being here,“ he told TV3.
“I know I won’t be here much longer because I’m getting older, but it’s been a fantastic experience for me and my family. We’re very grateful for the time we’ve spent here.”Szczesny also spoke about the team’s Champions League exit and says he’s proud of his team despite their defeat to Atletico in the quarter-finals. “It’s a disappointment because we all dreamed of winning this competition this year, but as the second most experienced player on the team, I’m proud of what this team has shown in the competition this year, including our performance at the Metropolitano,” he added.“Tuesday was incredible.
We gave it our all. Sometimes in football, it’s not enough, and you have to accept defeat with sportsmanship.”Szczesny has made 10 appearances this season in all competitions for Barcelona but may not feature again if Garcia stays fit for the rest of the campaign.
