LSU basketball landed its first transfer portal commitment of the year on Monday evening. Per On3's Joe Tipton, Kentucky forward Mouhamed Dioubate will join Will Wade's program in Baton Rouge. Dioubate's pledge kicks off what LSU hopes is an action-packed week of basketball transfer portal news.

LSU hired Wade with the intention of building an SEC contender, but so far, LSU has been quiet in the portal, at least publicly. Dioubate is a good start as LSU gets a talented player with SEC experience. In 2025-26, Dioubate averaged 8.8 points and 5.5 rebounds per game with Kentucky.

Prior to Kentucky, Dioubate began his career with Alabama. He's played over 100 career games with SEC squads -- experience this LSU team will need as Wade rebuilds. Dioubate stands at 6-foot-7 and brings good size to the floor.

That allows him to play inside, but he's athletic enough to contribute on the wing.
