Actor Boman Irani shared his admiration for Riteish Deshmukh and his vision for the upcoming historical drama Raja Shivaji at the film’s trailer launch event held in Mumbai on April 20. Speaking at the star-studded gathering, Irani recalled how he came on board the film in an unexpected manner. He joked, “I didn’t even say yes to this film, I wasn’t even asked!
I was just told, ‘What are you doing on the 30th? I’ll send you the address.’” He also shared a moment from his first day on set, revealing that Riteish Deshmukh had given him a rather unusual instruction regarding his appearance. Irani said with a laugh, “He said if I wore makeup, I’d look too young.
He wanted me to look like an actual old man for my role as a Baba.” Alongside the humour, Irani expressed warmth for the actor-director and spoke about their bond. He said, “Majha mulga aahe hi. I love him like my own son… though he speaks to me as if I’m his!” View this post on Instagram A post shared by Bollywood Hungama (@realbollywoodhungama) Reflecting on the film’s scale and execution, Irani praised the project’s ambition and the effort that went into its making.
