Michigan State earned a massive Big Ten series win over Washington this past weekend.

Michigan State baseball went on the road to their first trip ever to the state of Washington to face off with the Huskies of Washington in a Big Ten series this past weekend. In that series, the Spartans fared well, earning wins in two-out-of-three games against Washington.In game one, the Spartans rode the pitching performance of Nolan Higgins to a 6-4 win, getting off on the right foot. They followed that win with an offensive explosion in game two, earning a 13-8 win over the Huskies.Looking for a sweep, the Spartans fell just short in the series finale, dropping an 8-5 game in Seattle.

All in all, the Spartans earned themselves a big conference series win.Clawing their way back towards the .500 mark, Michigan State sits at 14-23 overall on the season, with an 8-13 record in conference play.
