Henry Cavill’s long-gestating Highlander reboot is now in the heat of production, and while it still does not have a spot on the release calendar, it can safely be considered one of the most anticipated movies in development right now. Backed by Amazon MGM, which shared new footage from the film earlier this week at CinemaCon, Highlander is a reboot of the 1986 film of the same name starring Christopher Lambert and Sean Connery. Chad Stahelski, famed for his work directing all four of the Keanu Reeves-led John Wick movies, has been tapped to direct Highlander with a script from House of the Dragon creator Ryan J.
