Apr. 21—GRAND RAPIDS — Junior Stella Schoonover had one of her best days with the Bemidji High School girls golf team on Tuesday.Schoonover shot an 85 to finish in third place individually at the Grand Rapids Best Ball Invitational at Pokegama Golf Course. The Lumberjacks took second place as a team, trailing only Rock Ridge by 13 strokes.Senior Taylor Schulke also had a big day, shooting 88 and finishing in fifth. Freshman Addi Bluhm took eighth at 93. Olivia Grand (95, 12th), Gracie Klovstad (99, 19th) and Anika Ohnstad (100, 20th) rounded out the day for BHS.Schoonover trailed Rock Ridge's Madison Fingeroos by four strokes out of first place.Team Scores1-Rock Ridge 348; 2-Bemidji 361; 3-Hibbing 383; 4-Grand Rapids 387; 5-Hermantown 400; 6-Duluth East 411; 7-Brainerd 413.
