These include Night Hunter, Now You See Me, The Girl on the Train, and The Man in the White Van. Released in U.S. theaters on December 19, 2025, the film is directed by Paul Feig and written by Rebecca Sonnenshine. It is adapted from the 2022 novel by Freida McFadden.

The story centers on Millie, played by Sydney Sweeney, a struggling young woman who takes up a job as a live-in maid for wealthy couple Nina and Andrew Winchester. Seeking a fresh start from her past, she moves into their mansion. However, she soon finds herself caught in a web of secrets, manipulation, and escalating psychological games.

As she spends more time in the household, her relationship with the couple becomes increasingly complicated, drawing her into a dangerous dynamic shaped by power, control, and hidden truths. The cast also includes Amanda Seyfried as Nina Winchester, Brandon Sklenar as Andrew Winchester, Michele Morrone as Enzo Accardi, and Elizabeth Perkins as Evelyn Winchester, among others. The film has been a commercial and critical success.

It holds a 73 percent critics score and a 92 percent audience rating on Rotten Tomatoes. According to Box Office Mojo, it has earned approximately $401 million worldwide, including around $126.5 million from domestic theaters.
