Miles Plumlee is living the good life Down Under

CHARLOTTE, NC - MARCH 20: Evan Smotrycz #23 of the Michigan Wolverines goes up for a layup against Miles Plumlee #21 of the Duke Blue Devils during the third round of the 2011 NCAA men's basketball tournament at Time Warner Cable Arena on March 20, 2011 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Think about it: three brothers, all 6-10 or taller, all come to Duke, where they all win national championships.

What are the odds of that? Side note: as many of you will recall, the Plumlees all left Indiana for Asheville’s Christ School, where they played their high school ball. From time to time, we’ve thought of their parents, and what, with three exceptionally tall growing teenagers, their food bill must have been like.

Anyone who has either been a boy or raised boys know exactly what we’re talking about, and it’s terrifying. Breakfast might have been 3 dozen eggs. If you order pizza, you’d better order at least five pies.

On some level, they must have been relieved to let Christ School pick up the food bill. Of the three, only Mason is still in the NBA, now in the twilight of his career. Marshall left the NBA to become an Army Ranger, and is now in the business world.

And Miles? Well, Miles continued to play after leaving the league, and finished up in Australia. Well, he’s still Down Under, and appears to have built a really nice life.

Plumlee is married to one of Australia’s most famous models, Catherine McNeil, is living on the Sunshine Coast, which is really nice, but even nicer when you live in a place like this. Clearly, life is good for the eldest Plumlee. Go to the DBR Boards to find Blue Healer Auctions || Drop us a lineGo to the DBR Boards to find Blue Healer Auctions || Drop us a line
