Wisconsin transfer guard John Blackwell has canceled his visit to Louisville, which was scheduled for later this week, according to 247Sports' Travis Branham.Blackwell visited Duke on Monday. Both 247Sports and On3 then quickly logged predictions for him to choose the Blue Devils. The former Wisconsin star initially listed six finalists after entering the transfer portal: Alabama, Arizona, Duke, Illinois, Louisville and UCLA.
He took visits to UCLA and Duke, and now appears close to committing to the latter.247Sports lists Blackwell as a five-star transfer prospect. The service ranks him as the No. 3 overall player in the portal and the top shooting guard. Duke was a buzzer-beating three-pointer from UConn away from a second consecutive Final Four trip in 2025-26.
