Nebraska basketball forward Ugnius Jarusevicius entered the transfer portal on Tuesday afternoon. Jarusevicius missed the start of the 2025-26 season due to a back injury. He appeared in one game in December and was shut down for the rest of the season.

The initial plan was for him to preserve his eligibility and return for the 2026-27 season. He came to the Huskers from Central Michigan. He earned first-team all-MAC honors while there, scoring 16.2 points and averaging 7.3 rebounds per game. He also had a. 537 field-goal percentage with 26.7 minutes per game.Jarusevicius’s departure just adds to what has been a busy transfer portal cycle.

This move opens up a roster spot and could allow for players such as Leo Curtis to take on a bigger role. It will be interesting to see how they end up filling the roster spot.Contact/Follow us @CornhuskersWire on X (formerly Twitter) and like our page on Facebook to follow ongoing coverage of Nebraska news, notes and opinions. This article originally appeared on Cornhuskers Wire: Nebraska basketball forward Ugnius Jarusevicius enters transfer portal
