When a performer spends years shaping a character, they often develop strong instincts about where the story should go next. General Hospital star Adrian Anchondo recently voiced one of those instincts, hoping his character, Marco, would take out Sidwell and others before his death.

Adrian Anchondo reveals his plans for Marco before his death in General Hospital General Hospital star Adrian Anchondo has revealed how he envisioned Marco’s story ending before his passing. During his appearance on Steve Burton (Jason) and Bradford Anderson’s (Spinelli) podcast THAT’S AWESOME With Steve And Bradford, Anchondo slipped into Marco’s voice to remind listeners: “My dad was the one who started the fire that made me save Kristina and made me lose my mother, and I never found that out.” Anchondo elaborated on his Instagram Stories after a fan asked what he would have wanted to see if Marco had lived.

And it sounds like, had that happened, viewers might have witnessed Marco go after his father instead of Lucas. “I’ve thought about this a lot,” the actor shared. “I was hoping there would come a moment where Marco finally, let’s just say, holds Sonny at gunpoint or something, and he’s about to get his revenge, and Sonny tells him about the truth of Charlie’s pub and how my father set the fire, and that’s the reason why I missed saving my mom (via Soaps.com).” After that, he envisioned an all-out blowup between Marco and Sidwell.

On a lighter note, Anchondo added that he would have loved seeing Lucas and Marco move in together and share sweet remodeling moments. He imagined them getting married in a dramatic wedding and later having a child, an ending he thought would have been really sweet. Back on the podcast, Anchondo claimed that he had laughed about online rumors suggesting he was actually Sonny’s son, since people speculated that Sonny and Natalia might have had a relationship.
