Few anime are as dominant in the cultural zeitgeist as Dragon Ball Zis, as it follows a fully-grown Goku, now married with children, who has only gotten stronger as threats scale from planetary to universal. The series does a fairly strong job in moving the plot forward despite being a prominent Toei Animation show in an era where anime filler was more common. However, this doesn't mean Dragon Ball Z was wholly immune either to outright filler episodes or sagas receiving significant padding.
