For the most part, the movie and television industries tend to focus on the crimes and experiences of men in prison. The bias isn’t something worth complaining about, because men get incarcerated way more than women. Luckily, there are a few small screen projects that dig deep into the experiences of women in prison, not just in America but across the globe.
