It comes after the ‘Girls Just Want To Have Fun’ hitmaker was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame last year, alongside the likes of The White Stripes, OutKast, Soundgarden, Joe Cocker and Bad Company. It was Chappell Roan who inducted Lauper, and paid tribute to her by wearing a replica of the skirt from the ‘True Colors’ music video. The ‘Pink Pony Club’ singer also spoke about the impact that ‘True Colors’ had on her growing up, saying she sang it as a child in her hometown in Missouri.

The induction to the Rock Hall came after Lauper played the final show of her farewell tour last summer. While those dates have drawn to a close, she will be playing a handful of live shows this year at her first ever Las Vegas residency.
