The Sandwich girls lacrosse team defeated Scituate 18-5 in the Patriot Cup final on Friday.Elisabeth Stutzman led the way with six goals and one assist. Quinn Anderson had four goals and one assist. Paige Morrison and Lydia Katzenback had three goals each.

Joe Coughlan reached base five times and scored one run.

Drew Peters had three hits, a run scored and an RBI. Michael Lehane and Braylon Heatley had two hits each.JL Murphy Tournament: Martha’s Vineyard 13, Scituate 8: The Vineyarders (3-6) snapped a four-game slide to place third in the JL Murphy Tournament.Seekonk 9, Bourne 7: The Canalmen (2-6) lost their fourth straight after almost overcoming a early six-run deficit. Owen Gagner pitched three good innings in relief and added an RBI double.

Cam Polczwartek went 1-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored.JL Murphy Tournament: Hanover 6, Falmouth 5: The Clippers (6-3) lost for the first time since April 6. Josh Matta went 1-for-3 with a two-RBI double in the fourth inning, and Eathen Vecchione did the same in the fifth inning as he finished 1-for-4 with 2 RBIs.
