Superhero fatigue is real; we’ve all felt it. The Boys is probably a show most responsible for curing it. There’s something way too satisfying about watching a corrupt, laser-eyed maniac get cheered on by a crowd blindsided by his true intentions.
It makes every other superhero story feel a little too clean. The Boys rewired the genre by making it ugly and honest, and its final season just dropped on April 8th. So yes, the internet is currently on fire.
