Former Texas A&M guard Pop Isaacs has officially committed to Oklahoma after the Aggies brought in three guards in the transfer portal.Isaacs had a tumultuous season, at times drawing criticism from the fanbase for a perceived lack of buy-in, but by the season's end, he had become just what head coach Bucky McMillan wanted him to be. Whether Isaacs would remain in College Station or leave in the portal seemed less about his personal desires and more a question of whether the Aggies could find a suitable replacement for him as he enters his fifth and final year of NCAA eligibility.Indeed, McMillan found a few suitable replacements.

PJ Haggerty, the fourth-highest scorer in the country and a top-five transfer recruit, was signed first, then McMillan made the unexpected move to bring in former G League guard Bryson Warren, who should be one of the best guards in the NCAA immediately. Finally, the Aggies brought in former four-star guard Jalen Reece as their guard of the future.Isaacs would have been fighting with Reece for backup guard minutes had he returned, and his departure to Oklahoma gives him a much clearer path to playing time and a large role.NEWS: Texas A&M transfer guard Pop Isaacs has committed to Oklahoma, source told @On3.The 6-2 redshirt junior has scored nearly 1,300 career points in college.
