Photo Credit: Marvel Television / Disney+ The latest episode of Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has dropped, bringing new story developments, including Krysten Ritter’s highly anticipated return as Jessica Jones, as well as some exciting Easter eggs. One of these referenced a long-overlooked character from the original Netflix series, teasing the possibility of their return at some point in the show’s future. Mitchell Ellison could return to Daredevil: Born Again after latest Easter egg Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 Episode 6 “Requiem,” shows BB Urich pulling up her phone to text someone named Ellison.

This suggested that she was working with none other than Mitchell Ellison, the editor-in-chief of the New York Bulletin. Marvel Studios has not officially confirmed Geoffrey Cantor’s reprisal of Ellison later in Born Again Season 2 or 3. However, the Easter egg’s presence suggests that the show has begun paving the way for his eventual possible return.

Spoilers for #DaredevilBornAgain–––––ELLISON MENTIONED RAHHHHHHHHH!! Hopefully this means we'll see him back one day tooI love that BB is working with him, she's doing such a good job keeping Ben's legacy alive pic.twitter.com/HOCiP564Ur— Jack (-_•) (@captaincupkick) April 22, 2026 Ellison played a supporting role in the previous Daredevil series, which originally streamed on Netflix but is now on Disney+. He was the superior of BB’s uncle, the late Bulletin reporter Ben Urich.

The pair came into conflict after Urich obsessively yet reasonably began reporting on Wilson Fisk’s (Kingpin) criminal activities. This came to a head after Ellison refused to publish an article about the same, arguing it lacked proof. A frustrated Urich accused Ellison of being a sellout to Fisk, resulting in the latter firing the former.

However, Ellison would change following Urich’s murder by Fisk and realize the truth about the latter. He later met Karen Page, with whom Urich was friends, and hired her to Urich’s old position at the Bulletin. Regretting his failure to help Urich, he dedicated himself to assisting Page with her stories, including that of the truth behind Frank Castle a.k.a.

Punisher‘s actions. Ellison became a staunch ally of Page from that point on, assisting her with stopping Fisk and putting him behind bars following his release from Riker’s Island. Despite losing several Bulletin staff members to Fisk’s assassin, Benjamin Poindexter, and Page keeping Daredevil’s secret identity from him, he never lost faith in her.
