Orange is the new black when it comes to smartphones, and Honor certainly isn’t one to shy away from an aesthetic shift. Four months after releasing its Honor 500 series, the Chinese tech giant is back with another addition to the family — the Honor 600 Pro, all decked out in a shiny, striking orange body. Powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and an Adreno 830 GPU, the handset packs the same flagship-level performance as before, alongside 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.
The AMOLED display is slightly larger here, coming in at 6.57 inches (compared to 6.55 inches), complete with a resolution of 2,728 x 1,264 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. Despite the absence of the latest fifth-generation Snapdragon 8 chipset, the Honor 600 Pro is no slouch. It exceeded expectations on the gaming front, running Wuthering Waves, Zenless Zone Zero, and Genshin Impact smoothly, with particle-heavy cutscenes — triggered by various characters’ Ultimate abilities in combat — unfolding without a hitch.
There was occasional stuttering, but no major frame rate dips, and an efficient thermal system kept the device cool for the most part. The right-aligned buttons and the rear camera module design are some of the phone’s bigger flaws, though they do little to mar the overall experience and, in the latter’s case, only affects a specific group of users. Check out the performance of the Honor 600 Pro in the video above, which includes benchmarking results, starting and ending temperatures, and other notable findings. It retails for S$1099, and is now available for pre-order till 29 April.
