Nebraska softball played their last regular season home series this weekend before going on the road to Penn State for their last regular season series, overall. In another weekend, impacted by weather, the Huskers played their senior night game on Saturday afternoon to beat out the rain coming in both Saturday night and Sunday. The Huskers have a laundry list of seniors this season including Olivia DiNardo, Lauren and Hannah Camenzind, Bella Bacon, Ava Kuszak, Talia Tokheim, Kacie Hoffmann, Hannah Coor, Alina Felix, Dakota Carter, Katelyn Caneda, and Jordy Frahm. The Huskers took no time to get their bats going in the bottom of the 1st inning.

It looked like they were ready to end the game as early as they could. Jordy Frahm and Hannah Coor both ended up on base to start. One walked and one on a fielders choice error.

Frahm and Coor moved into scoring position on a wild pitch moving to 2nd and 3rd.Hannah Camenzind put the Huskers on the board when she hit a 2 RBI single to score Coor. Frahm scored, unearned to go up 2-0 with no outs. With H.

Camenzind on 1st, Jesse Farrell would be walked to put them on 1st and 2nd base. Samantha Bland hit an absolute bomb of a 3 RBI home run to put the Huskers ahead 5-0, but they weren’t done yet.Kacie Hoffmann gave them their 2nd out, but Bella Bacon hit a double to make the Hawkeyes bring in their 2nd pitcher of the day in Carly Brewer. She immediately walked Lauren Camenzind then let Jordy Frahm reach base on an error and scored Bacon, unearned, to put the Huskers up 6-0.

Coor ended the inning grounding out.The top of 2nd was quick with only one Iowa hitter, of the 4 that were up to bat, reaching base to put the Huskers back up to bat. Hannah Camenzind and Ava Kuszak quickly got outs 1 and 2 to start, but then Jesse Farrell hit a home run off of the scoreboard to put the Huskers up big already at 7-0 and in position to possibly run-rule here in the next couple of innings. After Bland hit a homer in the 1st, she would end the 2nd by popping up to SS Devin Bowman. The Huskers’ hot streak continued into the 3rd as Bella Bacon got them going by hitting a single.

Kennadi Williams came in to pinch run for Bacon and was probably hoping she didn’t have to crawl into home plate again today. Lauren Camenzind was walked and then reached 2nd on a wild pitch and sent Williams to 3rd. Jordy Frahm took full advantage of this as she hit a 3 RBI home run to put the Huskers up 10 runs in just 3 innings.

The Hawkeyes made their 2nd pitching change of the day, after Coor grounded out, and put Braylen Conlon in to pitch. The Hawkeyes got a spark of energy in the bottom of the 4th, but the Huskers had an inning ending double play that sent Iowa back to their dugout with no runs as the Huskers caught their runner going home and got the tag after catching the fly out first.Senior Day officially got started in the 4th when Coach Revelle pinch hit several seniors that aren’t in the normal lineup. Talia Tokheim started them off hitting a single, then Katelyn Caneda followed that up with getting hit by a pitch to go to 1st.

Alina Felix brought it home by hitting an RBI single. 11-0 Huskers.Felix added to the Huskers total when Lauren Camenzind hit a 2 RBI single to put the Huskers up 13-0 and had kind of made it impossible for the Hawkeyes to make a come back. Iowa made yet another pitching change after Camenzind’s hit and brought in Serayah Neiss. That would be all she wrote as Iowa only had their 2nd hit of the day in the top of the 5th.

The Huskers got their run-rule win on Senior Day and sent the seniors out with a sweep of the crappy Hawkeyes. GBR!!Next weekend, their regular season will end with a trip to State College, PA to play Penn State and hopefully secure another series sweep.Senior Day spring cleaning. 🧹 pic.twitter.com/myj6jOaxRV— Nebraska Softball (@HuskerSoftball) April 25, 2026
