For the Denver Broncos, one of their biggest selling points to potential free agents and new draftees is their ownership. Since taking the helm of the team in 2022, the Walton-Penner ownership group has been wholly committed to the success of the Broncos, both on and off the field. One of the commitments they have made to players and coaches was the immediate announcement and subsequent construction of the $175 million training facility at their Dove Valley headquarters. Broncos president Damani Leech got a firsthand look into what outside players think of the new building when he toured wide receiver Jaylen Waddle at the site.
“My office looks out at (the building), so (Waddle) came over and George [Paton] brought him over to say hello," Leech said at the NFL's annual meetings in Arizona last month. "He looked at it and said, ‘Man, that is amazing.’ He’s coming from Miami, another great facility. Him and the players who come back after a few weeks on vacation, I love the feedback that they give, which is all really positive.”Leech also talked about his personal excitement about the building.
"I love seeing the progress that gets made," he continued. "I like when I leave for a few days and come back, you can see even more progress. Players like Jaylen [Waddle] sign with us and they come and see the building, it’s great to see their reaction when they see it.
Like I said, it’s a great opportunity for our football team to get better. It’s another sort of arrow in their quiver for success on the field. I’m excited about it.”Broncos owner Greg Penner announced at the March meetings that the team will move into the new facility in June, prior to training camp.
The state-of-the-art facility will bring all team operations under one roof, an enticing new selling point for future draftees and free agents.Social: Follow Broncos Wire on Facebook and Twitter/X!
