Range Rover Sport Autobiography has been introduced in India in locally assembled form, with prices starting at Rs. 1.6 crores (ex-showroom). This marks the first time the Autobiography trim is being offered with local assembly for the Range Rover Sport. Bookings are now open, while the V8-powered version continues to be available as a fully imported model.
The locally assembled version is offered with two 3.0-litre, six-cylinder engine options – petrol and diesel – both paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission and all-wheel drive. The diesel variant produces 351 HP and 700 Nm, while the petrol version develops 400 HP and 550 Nm. Both offer similar performance figures to the Dynamic HSE trims.
Meanwhile, the CBU version continues with a 4.4-litre V8 engine producing 530 HP and 750 Nm. The Autobiography trim brings subtle visual enhancements over the standard model. It features 22-inch forged alloy wheels, red brake calipers and specific badging.
Additional elements include soft-close doors, flush door handles and a powered tailgate. Buyers can choose from multiple colour options including Borasco Grey, Ostuni Pearl White, Santorini Black and Carpathian Grey. Inside, the SUV focuses on comfort and luxury with an extended leather interior and semi-aniline upholstery.
It gets 22-way electrically adjustable front seats with heating, ventilation and massage functions, along with reclining and ventilated rear seats. Other features include four-zone climate control, ambient lighting, a centre console refrigerator and an air purification system. The cabin is equipped with a 13.7-inch digital instrument cluster and a 13.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
A Meridian Signature sound system, head-up display and rear seat entertainment screens are also part of the package. The Range Rover Sport Autobiography comes with a range of chassis technologies aimed at improving ride and handling. These include all-wheel steering, adaptive air suspension, electronic active differential and torque vectoring. Off-road capability is supported by Terrain Response modes, adaptive off-road cruise control and hill descent control, along with multiple traction and stability systems.
