Mark Wahlberg is not exactly short on crowd-pleasers, but Instant Family might still be the easiest one to recommend to basically anyone. It’s funny, warm, a little messy in the right way, and way more emotionally grounded than the average studio family comedy from that era. Instead of going for pure chaos, the movie leans into the panic, awkwardness, and genuine heart that come with trying to build a family overnight.
