He became the Terps’ starter at right tackle for every game across the last two seasons and was a stellar pass blocker for a line that had immense success last year. Maryland allowed only nine sacks on the year — although Pro Football Focus lists Herron as responsible for three of them. Another name has been added to the list of Maryland offensive linemen to receive opportunities at the game’s highest level.

Delmar Glaze, Jaelyn Duncan and Spencer Anderson have all been drafted in the last four years, and Corey Bullock worked his way up to the Ravens’ squad last season after going undrafted in 2024.Herron was invited to the official NFL Scouting Combine and took visits with the Falcons, Ravens and Redskins as well as the Saints before the draft. Now, he’ll have a chance to prove himself over the summer in the Pelican State.
