The Minnesota Vikings selected Michigan football tight end/fullback Max Bredeson with the 159th overall pick in the fifth round of the 2026 NFL Draft on Saturday.The heart and soul of the Wolverines, Max Bredeson's stats don't tell nearly the picture to what he meant to the program. He caught 12 passes for 132 yards during his five years in Ann Arbor and was twice voted a captain by his teammates in 2024 and 2025.Bredeson was named an All-Big Ten selection (third team, coaches; honorable mention, media) in 2025 and was a two-time recipient of the Robert P. Ufer Bequest and Toughest Player of the Year Award as well as the 2025 LowMan Trophy Winner as the top fullback in college football.The 6-foot-2, 250-pound tight end and fullback hybrid appeared in 54 career games with 18 starts.He will join former Michigan quarterback J.J.
