Joseph Kosinski's much-anticipated Miami Vice reimagining may have found its Crockett and Tubbs, but their return to the screen won't be as quick as hoped. The Austin Butler and Michael B. Jordan-led blockbuster has suffered a massive delay, moving from August 6, 2027, to May 19, 2028.

This new date will give the crime thriller room to breathe away from any other studio competition, bowing a week before Memorial Day weekend. Fortunately, it's not all bad news for the duo. Accompanying the release date change are a handful of new details about the F1 and Top Gun: Maverick director's return to 1980s Miami to tide viewers over until they see the detectives again.
