The movie unites two stars who've already delivered hit movies for the streamer, and pits their characters against each other in a high-stakes battle for survival. The movie hails from director Baltasar Kormákur, who has cemented himself as something of a master of the survival-thriller genre, with past films such as the Icelandic film The Deep, the star-studded blockbuster Everest, and the sleeper hits Adrift and Beast. His new movie opened to mostly positive reviews on April 24 and immediately jumped to the top of the Netflix viewership charts.
