The Los Angeles Rams very well may use the No. 13 pick in the 2026 NFL draft on a receiver. However, ESPN NFL insider Jeremy Fowler reported this week that the Rams might be looking at a Day 2 receiver after spending time with him throughout the pre-draft process. That receiver is none other than Alabama's Germie Bernard. Fowler says that he could be a target for L.A. after Day 1, and the Rams could use the Nos. 61 or 93 on the Crimson Tide pass-catcher.Bernard, 22, is a 6-foot-1, 206-pound two-year starter who had 862 yards and seven touchdowns on 64 receptions in 14 games for Alabama this past season.
He projects to be an outside receiver and could be great third option for Matthew Stafford if the Rams pass on or miss out on some of the top first-round prospects. He fits well into the Sean McVay offense for a few reasons: Bernard is a good and willing blocker, has experience on gadgety plays like wildcat, jet sweeps, motions and screens, and also likes to play in the middle of the field. He also had 17 forced missed tackles in 2025 and even returned kickoffs in college. The Rams love versatile receivers, and Bernard is a great Day 2 option for L.A. if they go in a different direction in Round 1.This article originally appeared on Rams Wire: NFL insider says Rams 'spent time' on Alabama WR Germie Bernard
