The New England Patriots are reportedly looking for a Day 3 draft pick in exchange for wide receiver Kayshon Boutte, according to Sports Illustrated's Albert Breer.Boutte, who is in the final year of his rookie deal, could be on the move with a potential logjam at receiver in New England. The Patriots signed Romeo Doubs in free agency, and they are also expected to trade for three-time All-Pro wide receiver A.J. Brown on or after June 1.NFL insider Jordan Schultz first reported that teams around the league had a sense that Boutte could be made available for a trade.

However, Breer's latest update elevated the conversation with an actual price tag from the Patriots.Breer wrote:"Some veteran names could be moved over the next couple of days, and one to watch is Patriots wide receiver Kayshon Boutte, who’s shown promise through three years, with 76 catches for 1,140 yards and nine touchdowns in 29 games over the past two years. New England’s looking for a Day 3 pick for the 23-year-old, who is entering a contract year."Boutte is coming off a productive season in which he served as the Patriots' top deep-threat option. He recorded 33 catches for 551 yards and six touchdowns in 14 games.

It might make sense for the Patriots to try to get something for Boutte if they don't plan on re-signing him to a new deal. Despite an impressive 2025 run, the veteran wide receiver had 10 fewer receptions than he had in 2024. That number could be significantly lower on a roster with possibly both Brown and Doubs.
