"So we were not in contact with Mike today other than some just 'hope everything’s going okay' kind of text early this morning."It's been almost three weeks since Vrabel and former NFL insider Dianna Russini became embroiled in scandal when the New York Post shared photos of the duo at a luxury hotel in Sedona, Ariz.Russini ultimately resigned from her position with The Athletic. The NFL decided not to pursue further action against the two-time AP Coach of the Year, but the controversy kicked up a notch when Vrabel revealed he'd be seeking counseling and would be away from the team on Saturday.Soon after that, pictures of Russini and Vrabel sitting closely together and at one point, appearing to kiss, at a bar on March 11, 2020, were released. The Patriots released a statement in support of the former Pro Bowl linebacker on Thursday, shortly before the NFL Draft kicked off.More NFL: Patriots' 2026 NFL Draft Strategy Featured Tactic Not Used In 53 Years
